Where can I find out if there are any job openings at the museum?

Do you do appraisals of aviation artifacts?

No, we do not do appraisals for any reason.  You should look in your local telephone directory for appraisers.

Do you give tours of Davis-Monthan Air Force Base?

The base is an active Air Force Base and does not allow tours. However, Pima Air & Space Museum is the exclusive tour operator for the 309 Aerospace Maintenance and Regeneration Group (AMARG), sometimes known as the "Boneyard". See our AMARG Tour page for more information.

Can I take the AMARG tour on Saturday or Sunday?

Sorry, this Federal Facility is closed on all holidays and weekends. See our AMARG Tour page for more information.

How long does the AMARG tour take?

The AMARG tour lasts approximately one and a half hours.

Do I have to pay admission to the Museum to tour the Boneyard?

No - simply enter the Admissions area at the Pima Air & Space Museum and pay for the AMARG tour and wait for your tour to begin in the AMARG ramada outside of Admissions.

Should I make a reservation for a tour?

We recommend making reservations for school tours, and group tours. Call 520-618-4800.

What are your hours?

The museum is open from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm daily; last admittance is at 4:00 pm.

Are you open on weekends and holidays?

We are open every day of the year except Thanksgiving and Christmas.

How much does it cost to get in?

Admission prices vary by age and season. We offer special rates for seniors, groups, veterans and AAA members. For full information, see the Visiting Us page.

Is there a discount for groups?

Group discounts start at 20 people. See our Visiting Us page for full information and pricing.

How long does it take to see everything?

Allow a minimum of 3-4 hours to tour all 75 acres of exhibits.

How much is it for a school tour?

School and youth groups are free. Call John at 520-618-4800 to arrange a tour.

Do you have a Museum Store?

Yes - you can enter and shop in the Museum Store without paying admission fees.

Can I host my birthday party there?

No - not currently available.

Is photography permitted at the Museum or AMARG?

Yes - you may take unlimited photos or video for your personal use.  For commercial purposes you must obtain prior permission.

Can I host my event there?

How do I get there?

Directions to the Pima Air & Space Museum:

From I-10 take Valencia Road exit east 2 miles to museum entrance.

From northeast Tucson, take Kolb Road south to Valencia and turn west on Valencia to the museum entrance.

How far is it from the airport?

5.5 miles - about 15 minutes.

Can I get there on the bus?

Sorry - not at this time.

Can I bring my dog?

All leashed pets are allowed at the Museum. They can’t go on the AMARG or tram tours, but they can visit an administrator if needed. Pets should never be left in vehicles.

Is there parking available?

Parking is free & available.

Can I bring a picnic?

Yes - picnic tables are available in ramadas and on the grounds.

How can I become a volunteer?

From tour guides to help in our aircraft restoration facility, the Museum is always looking for volunteers. Our policy is to try and match volunteers with their specific interest whenever possible. Please see our Volunteer page for more information.

Can I buy a plane?

Not at the Museum, but there are several aircraft scrap yards nearby with airplanes and parts from all over the world.

Can I land my plane at the Museum?

Landings are not permitted at the Museum. Tucson International Airport is the nearest general aviation facility and is about 5.5 miles from the Museum.

Can I park my RV?

Plenty of space is available for you to park while visiting the Museum, but you can’t park overnight. The nearest RV park is Beaudry RV Resort.
