Excellence in Aviation:

The History of the Arizona Aviation Hall of Fame

The Arizona Aviation Hall of Fame exhibit gallery is located in the Dorothy Finley Space Gallery on the Museum grounds. The Hall of Fame offers visitors a unique opportunity to acquaint themselves with noteworthy Arizona aviators.

Established by a joint proclamation including the Governor of Arizona in 1985, the Arizona Aviation Hall of Fame pays tribute to Arizona’s long and proud aviation history.

Arizona has long been an aviation industry leader, from the pioneering hot air balloonists of the 19th century to the high-tech aerospace engineers and entrepreneurs of today who play a vital role in advanced aircraft and missile technology.
