Safety Precautions

To ensure a safe environment for all of our guests and staff, face coverings are required at the museum. Please practice social distancing between your party and others. Wash and sanitize your hands often. We value your safety and experience while visiting the museum and appreciate your consideration of these precautions. We hope you enjoy your visit and thank you for your support of the non-profit Arizona Aerospace Foundation (AAF), operating the Pima Air & Space Museum and Titan Missile Museum.

Because the museum includes six hangars with a combined 250,000 sq. ft. indoors and 80 acres of outdoor displays, we do not anticipate a volume of visitors that would require limiting occupancy. Therefore, you will continue to purchase tickets upon arrival as there is no need to reserve a specific time.

The following are some of the precautions being taken by the AAF to provide the safest visitor experience possible:

  • Staff will wear masks
  • Plexiglas shields are installed at cash registers
  • Directed flow and social distancing markers at the point of sale
  • Upgrading as many fixtures as possible in the restroom to "hands free" configuration
  • Additional hand sanitizer stations around the grounds
  • Enhanced regular cleaning schedule with some restroom facilities closed
    • The two bathrooms in Hangar 1 and in Hangar 5 are currently open and maintained
  • Drinking fountains are disabled
    • Plan to bring or purchase water upon entry!

Help us maintain a safe environment:

  • If you or someone you are living with is feeling ill, displaying symptoms of COVID-19, or has the virus, please plan to visit us at another time
  • Wear your mask securely over your nose and mouth
  • Wash your hands frequently for 20 seconds or more
  • Maintain CDC recommended social distancing
  • Download the museum map here
  • Review the CDC guidelines before you visit here

Like so many other nonprofit organizations, the Pima Air & Space Museum has been seriously affected by the COVID-19 pandemic with a decline in revenue and visitors. Thank you for your support while we undertake the safety precautions for all of our valued visitors.
