Group Booking

Pima Air and Space Museum welcomes groups of 20 or more to the museum. If your group is less than 20 you do not need to book in advance, you will just pay at the door. Groups of 20-49 people do have the option to book online but are not required. Groups of 50 or more are required to book in advance to receive the group discount.  

Please note if you are looking to book a school field trip or youth group visit, please visit our Education pages for the correct pricing.

Group Rates per person

Groups of 50 or more

  • Adults – $19.50
  • Juniors (age 5-12) – $15
  • Children (ages 0 – 4) – $0
    • Two complimentary passes will be given to escorts/bus drivers.
    • No other discounts will apply to groups of 50 or more.

Groups of 20-49

  • Adults – $22.50
  • Military/Veteran- $20.50
  • Seniors – $19.75
  • Juniors (age 5-12) – $16
  • Children (ages 0 – 4) – $0

All group bookings will need to be booked a minimum of 48 hours prior to their visit. Please make sure you know the total number of participants in your group when booking as tickets are non-refundable.

General Group Information:

  • Groups of 20-49 are encouraged to make reservations via our online system but are not required.
  • Groups of 50 or more are required to make reservations via our online system.
  • All groups are self-guided through the museum unless previous arrangements have been made for a private tour.
  • Groups can add on private tours such as tram tours or walking tours via this online system but must be done a minimum of two weeks in advance.
  • Please make sure you have an accurate head count before booking your tour. Tickets are non-refundable if members of your group do not show up or if you purchase tickets.
  • Backpacks are not permitted in the museum and must stay in the vehicle as we can’t store bags for visitors. Small purses, small camera bags, and diaper bags are still allowed

Lunch


Groups of 20 or more that plan to eat together at the Flight Grill are encouraged to purchase box lunches a minimum of 5 days in advance. You must book a group visit first to order a group lunch.

BOX LUNCH OPTIONS AND PRICES

All boxed lunches include a sandwich, chips, and an iced tea, bottled water, or fountain drink. –  $15.50 per lunch

  • TURKEY CLUB SANDWICH- Mesquite smoked turkey, bacon, romaine lettuce, and tomato served on sourdough bread.

  • HAM & SWISS SANDWICH- Ham, Swiss cheese, romaine lettuce and tomato served on twelve grain bread.

  • VEGETARIAN SANDWICH- Romaine lettuce, cucumber, tomato, Swiss, cheddar and cream cheese served on twelve grain bread.

You will select a time to pick up your boxed lunches at the Flight Grill and all members of your group will eat together at the same time.

Group Tours


Walking Tours

Rates: $75 per group

ALL PARTICIPANTS OF THE WALKING TOUR ARE REQUIRED TO PAY GENERAL ADMISSION TO ENTER THE MUSEUM. GROUPS OF LESS THAN 20 WILL NEED TO PAY GENERAL ADMISSION AT THE GATE UPON ARRIVAL.

  • 9:30 am, 10:30 am, 11:30 am, 12:30 pm, 1:30 pm
  • 2:30 pm (Oct-May only) 

Walking tours are offered 7 days a week at the times listed above. Please arrange your group’s itinerary to fit the pre-selected times, as requests for walking tours outside of the times below will not be accommodated. 

Themes

General Aviation Tour (Hangar 1)
Your group will be guided through our largest hangar which contains some of the museum’s most popular aircraft! On this tour, you will see aircraft like the SR-71, the F-4 Phantom II, and the world’s smallest biplane, the Bumblebee. This tour only includes the Main Hangar. This tour does not include the 5 other hangars.

World War II Walking Tour (Hangars 3, 4, & 5)
Your Group will be guided through our 3 WWII hangars. You will learn about planes like the B-29 and P-40. This tour will meet in Hangar 5 located on the South side of the museum.

Cold War Tour (Hangar 1)
Your group will be guided through the main hangar and discuss aircraft and artifacts from the Cold War Era. Topics include military demonstration aircraft, the Huey, nuclear weapons, submarine hunting aircraft, and of course, the SR-71 Blackbird. This tour will meet in Hangar 1 in front of the Blue Angels F-11 Tiger.

Walk of Fame (Hangar 1, Outside, and Aerospace Gallery)
Your group will be guided through various hangars and outside to view iconic and record-breaking aircraft, pop culture aircraft, and aircraft types flown by celebrities. Aircraft discussed include the Rutan Long EZ, the Westland Lynx, the F-14 Tomcat, and the A-4 Skyhawk. This tour will meet in Hangar 1 in front of the Wright Flyer.

Private Tram Tours

The museum offers private 45-minute guided tours that takes passengers through the museum’s 80 acres on a 1.5-mile route to view more than 200 planes in the collection. The tours are narrated by experienced and friendly tour guides who highlight significant aircraft in the outdoor collection. It’s a great way to see the museum and enjoy a break from walking while learning about the aircraft.

Private Tram Tours are for groups that would like a private, one-on-one guided tour of the museum’s outdoor aircraft aboard our open-air tram. The tram can hold up to 40 passengers. If you need a wheelchair-accessible tram, the museum can accommodate that, however, the wheelchair-accessible tram can only hold one wheelchair and a maximum of 16 passengers. If your group is visiting on a bus and exceeds 35 guests, we can accommodate your tram tour on your bus as long as it has a PA system we can use.

Rates:

$425 per group

If you are booking a bus tour, because your group exceeds 35 participants, then it will be $425 plus $10 per every person after 40 participants. To book a bus tour please email [email protected].

All participants must pay admission to the museum to participate in the tour.

Times:

Please note that we cannot accommodate any other tram times outside of the set times below. Each tram time can accommodate one tram. Private trams are not available on Mondays.

Please note that due to the museum closing at 3:00 pm June-September, the 2:30 pm tram time is not available during these months.

NOTE: The museum can only accommodate one Tram Tour per time slot. If your group exceeds the number of seats available on a tour, you will need to book the second time slot for the day. Requests to run back-to-back tours or tours outside of the pre-selected time slots cannot be accommodated.
