In over 35 years of analyzing the dynamics of major accidents, his exhaustive studies of accident impact forces have produced significant improvements to airframe structures, passenger seat design, crash-resistant fuel systems, passenger/crew restraints, emulsified and jellied fuels, and other safety-related equipment.
